One of the more charming small-scale sets from the Star Wars Episode IV line, Droid Escape recreates the moment C-3PO and R2-D2 jettison from the Tantive IV and crash-land on Tatooine. At 137 pieces it's a compact build, but it packs in a good amount of detail — the escape pod has a detachable cover, and the set includes a swoop bike and a bit of droid wreckage to flesh out the desert scene.
The four minifigures are the real draw here: C-3PO and R2-D2 alongside two Imperial Sandtroopers, with the 2012 release featuring updated designs for both Threepio and the Sandtroopers that were an improvement on earlier versions. It's a solid little display piece and a satisfying slice of A New Hope for Episode IV fans.
