Mill Village Raid is one of the more satisfying sets from LEGO's 2011 Kingdoms line — a mid-sized Castle release that packs genuine scene-setting detail into its 663 pieces. The centrepiece is a working watermill with a turning wheel, flanked by a rustic village building that the Dragon Knights are in the process of ransacking. It's a proper narrative snapshot, the kind of set that rewards display as much as play.
Six minifigures come included — a mix of Lion Knights defending the village and Dragon Knights causing trouble — giving the set a natural sense of conflict and sides to choose from. The Castle theme has always had a loyal following, and Kingdoms in particular struck a good balance between classic medieval charm and playable action.
