Set 8404 Public Transport Station is one of the more ambitious City sets LEGO produced around 2010 — a sprawling transit hub that brings together a tram, a bus, and the kind of urban infrastructure that adult fans of the theme tend to gravitate towards. With 864 pieces, there's real substance here: platforms, shelters, signage, and all the small details that make a city layout feel genuinely lived-in.
Six minifigures populate the scene, giving it that busy commuter energy without feeling overcrowded. It's the sort of set that works equally well as a display piece or as an anchor for a larger City layout, and it holds up well over a decade on from its original release.
